Juneteenth Freedom Festival

Juneteenth is an internationally recognized celebration of African American culture. From the Emancipation Proclamation to Galveston, Texas in 1865, and on to present day – Afro-American culture continues to grow and thrive despite adversity. We celebrate the strength and beauty of black America that began circa 1865.

African-American Homeschoolers of Cumberland County are families who have joined forces to strengthen and expand the black learning community. We give to each other and to our community. We support each other by sharing our knowledge, experiences, resources, successes, and failures for the collective advancement of our children.
